Issue 207 hits the shelves next week!

19th June 2020

Issue 207 goes on sale on the 25th June, and we are very excited for you all to get your hands on the Ultimate Cardmaker’s Scoreboard, scoring tool and downloads.

Another issue of SCP and another month into the lockdown, but by the time you read this we’re hopeful that things will be starting to get back to something that looks a bit more like normality. Shops will be open, albeit with restrictions in place, but it seems there is more to be done before we can return to life as we know it, and so we will hide away in our craft rooms for a little longer and enjoy this issue’s Ultimate Scoreboard
and paper downloads.

This issue we asked Sam Calcott to test out the scoreboard to create dimensional card projects – challenging us to move away from the more straight forward square or tent-fold shapes – follow her hints and tips over on page 9.

Turn to page 70 to see Helen Griffin tackle off-the-page projects including gift bags, table decorations and keepsake ideas – we’re in love with the little sweetie truck and birthday wishes gift bag.

Helen’s even provided us with a video too – which we’re thrilled to share with you – it will help you recreate her pinwheel centrepieces – click here to see it now. Don’t forget to download the papers & toppers both Helen and Sam used – there are striking patterned papers and toppers you won’t want to miss. Get them here

We’ve also got a Back-to-basics guide to the scoreboard – where we guide you step by step through everything you need to know to get started right away, you’ll be whipping up dimensional cards, co-ordinating envelopes and off-the-page projects in not time at all!

There’s also a range of techniques for you try this issue too – with stacked die-cuts on page 75, open border cards on page 31 and achieving stained-glass effects on page 40. If getting more from your basic die stash is more your thing, then turn to page 88 where Nicole Haupka guides us through telescopic apertures – we cannot wait to try this for ourselves.

In this month’s diary feature we caught up with Sarah Gray, a member of our Design Team and a previous winner of our annual competition Papercraft Magazines Designer of the Year, but also the brains behind a Funky Fossil – find out more about them over on
page 26.

This month’s Tried and Tested feature focuses on the brand-new Cricut Joy™ through its paces and Ingrid Vichova is back with her hands-on approach to sharing hints, tips and advice.

We love this brand-new so much, we couldn’t resist teaming up with Cricut to offer our readers an amazing Cricut Joy prize bundle worth £290 – offering the machine and a wide-range of accessories to get you started! Find out how to enter by clicking here.

This month’s masterclass is a fabulous guide to Spellbinders by Jane Davenport Mermaid Markers – Christine Smith expertly showcases various techniques you can achieve with them – her bright, and bold cards are bound to steal the show – and better still, we’ve teamed up with CraftStash to offer a 10% discount on the pens when bought from them! Enter to the code inside the magazine to claim the discount

Last but by no means least – we’ve got a fabulous collection of downloads from Uniko – they’re the perfect all-occasion digital stamps, and Bev’s makes showcase them fabulously, download them from here! Visit the downloads section to see our back catalogue of free downloads.

We hope you have a great month, happy cardmaking and stay safe!

Spread the love

  • I came to SC&PC as a result of a very few mags being on the shelf of WH Smith back in March. I’m so glad I chose this magazine. I am about to receive my 3rd mag in the trial offer & I cant wait. Have chosen to continue my subscription because SC&PC is exactly the mag for me. I am focusing on making cards & thus mag gives me inspiration & is gradually building my stash by useful additions each month. Thank you.
