Issue 181 is on sale now!

23rd August 2018

Issue 181 hits the shelves today and we could not be happier for you all to get your hands on this amazing issue. Not only is the Driving Home For Chrismtas potentially our fave gift EVER, but the issue is jam packed with ideas and inspiration not only for Christmas, but for birthday, masculine makes and even a back-to-school inspired feature too! We’ve got both cards and gift ideas made using the Christmas-themed gift too – we’ve been singing Chris Rea all month long and it’s totally got us in the Christmas mood already!

Editor Becky and Janette Lane take you through this fantastic new issue!

This issue’s masterclass comes courtesy of Ingrid Vichova and we’re head over heels for her inspired makes using glossy paper as a background.

We’ve never thought to try this, but now following Ingrid’s amazing hints & tips we cannot wait to try it – the results are simply stunning!

Give it a try for yourself and don’t forget to send anything you create using the inspiration from the issue to me directly at becky.higgins@practicalpublishing.co.uk

We’ve also got brand-new releases from Hobby Art, Brother and WOW! embossing – this along with a fabulous technique-filled feature from Claire Rhodes-Brandon makes, as well as marvellous boho-inspired makes from Reverse Confetti, really does make a crammed full issue. Keep your eyes peeled for bonus makes and ideas on this brand-new website too!

Happy cardmaking!

  • I shall definitely get this issue – at last card ideas are coming through that are no longer all cute and cuddly or just pretty and now are more of general interest with a professional appearance we can all hope to achieve, too. Not to say there isn’t a time and place for cute and cuddly but now we have ideas for a wider appeal as well. Well done Simply Cards & Papercraft; looks good.

  • I have just bought this mag today its brilliant but i cannot get onto the competitions page any help would be appreciated.

  • how do you enter the competions in the magazines i have tried putting in http://www.ppjump.co.uk/SCP181 but it will not let me i have tried to re register but it say it don’t recognise me what am i doing wrong

  • Love this issue however I cant seem to enter the competitions this month

  • good comments Karen
I totally agree that this magazine, gifts and ideas are outstanding, inspirational and definitely motivating me to make cards of a professional quality.
thank you, Simply cards and papercraft for an excellent issue

  • I have just purchased this magazine and love the embossing folder and stamps but have been unable to find the 64 page paper pack. Can you please advise me how I can access this paper pack.

  • Love your magazine but I am getting frustrated that the competitions (across your whole portfolio of magazines) cannot be accessed via the ppjump.co.uk addresses. I subscribe to Simply Cards & Papercraft and buy several others in the shops or online and the links to the competitions haven’t been working for a long time. Why can’t you sort out the problem? It’s taking up a lot of my time and not fair on your readers.

    • Since the issue went to print a problem has developed with the usual ppjump.co.uk addresses we use across our whole portfolio of magazines. The good news is the competitions are live you just need to use an alternative link. With this being an issue that happened after the magazine went to print it really is out of our control, as you say it’s across the whole portfolio – so this isn’t just an issue with SCP.
