Our biggest-ever issue!

13th December 2019

Simply Cards & Papercraft 200 hits the shelves on the 19th December and we’re a little excited to say the least!

I’m literally thrilled to be bringing you this special birthday issue of Simply Cards & Papercraft. I cannot believe that we’ve reached 200 issues of this No.1 cardmaking magazine already and I’m honoured to be at the helm for such a momentous occasion!

We’ve really gone to town to celebrate – with 200 online giveways to countdown to the on-sale date next week – we know you’ve all been thrilled and the entries have been record breaking – thank you so much for your support!

To celebrate turning 200 we’ve teamed up with Altenew to bring you this issue’s stunning Modern Anemone die and stamps, as well as 68 digital downloads to complement them. You’ll find Turn to Vanessa Hodgson’s striking cards, and see Helen Griffin’s gorgeous giftwrap ideas and keepsakes inside issue 200 to inspire you.

Next up this month, Ingrid Vichova puts the Cricut Maker through its paces in our Tried and Tested feature, creating a range of off-the-page makes – you’ll love the 3D wall art on page 94.

Her stunning projects range from a dreamcatcher to striking wall art, and we just know you’ll love it! We’ve even teamed up with CraftStash to offer you a £5 discount too – turn to page 98 of the magazine to find out how to claim the discount!

This month we tasked Christine Smith to guide us step by step through one of our favourite techniques – dry embossing on vellum, and her bright show-stopping makes are bound to impress.

We’ve got 200 digital downloads from NitWit Collections on page 70, which features a fabulous collection of spring-themed digital elements to give your New Year crafting a fresh lease of life. You can download them from here.

For our biggest-ever issue we wanted to bring you all the latest products and so we’ve got new releases from Spellbinders, Avery Elle, Stampin’ Up! and Pinkfresh Studio. We’ve even teamed up with CraftStash, Crafter’s Companion, Hunkydory, Stamps by Chloe, Arteza, Paper Nest Dolls and Scribblers to offer you exclusive discounts – turn to page 98 to find out more!

Don’t forget you can buy your magazine directly from us by visiting Moremags as soon as it hits the shelves!

With all of this, plus the usual competitions, news, shopping and giveaways plus readers’ letters and cards, all that’s left to say is… cheers to the next 200 issues!

Happy cardmaking

  • So looking forward to this celebration issue. Congratulations. Not been able to do anything lately – 2+ weeks in hospital following a fall when I fractured my left arm at the wrist and my pelvic girdle. No Christmas cards for family and friends buy, before the fall, I managed to make over 100 for the 2 local charities I support That’s life. Happy Christmas to everyone at Simply Cards and Papercraft – a great inspiration and guide – and best wishes for 2020. Isabella Frances Dearson

  • So sorry to hear about your accident Isabella (what a lovely name) and how nice that you are thinking of others by making cards for charity. Get well soon and have a super, duper Xmas.

  • I got my copy yesterday and I have had a quick look this morning, wow, I can’t wait to have a proper look and a play.

  • Oh dear, I’m sure everyone will understand and be happy that you have been giving. I help run a craft group (Articulate in Bath) and have to write Christmas cards tonight because I’m VERY BEHIND but we’ve had a lot of fun at group so … that’s life!
Next year I’m going to decide on my card design early on and book a holiday to go away on my own and make them in a leisurely fashion… that’s my gift to myself.

  • What a lovely issue. I am recovering from a serious back operation and can’t wait to be able to sit at my desk again and create. Your ideas are fantastic and inspiring. Thank you.

  • G’Day happy new year

  • Fabulous edition and the Altenew set is a great design but my stamps are not sticking to my stamp block and keep falling off. This is not the first time I have had this problem with free stamps from SCP and am very disappointed with the quality.
