Exclusive bonus card from Christina Griffiths

Issue 178 goes on sale tomorrow and we could not resist give you a little inspiration for getting the most from this issue’s massive A4 stamp set and co-ordinating die set on an exclusive card from Card Making Magic’s Christina Griffiths.

Simply make

1 Create an A6 tent-fold card blank and smaller mat to leave a narrow border around the edges.

2 Colour the texture paste with a small amount of Distress Oxide and apply to the layer with a palette knife through the stencil. Allow to dry.

3 With the small butterfly stamp from the free gift stamp in the clear areas on the panel.

4 Stamp the sentiment onto white cardstock, trim and layer onto teal cardstock. Stamp the large butterfly onto teal cardstock using Mermaid Lagoon twice and cut out using the die. Layer together using 3D foam pads to keep the wings lifted.

5 Add to the textured panel and add pearls to the body line and to leave a trail below. Stencil and add small butterflies to the reverse of the card.

6 Add ‘Especially for You’ to the inside and stencil lightly around the words. With a ball tool and the Distress Oxide add small dots to all of the stencilled areas, adding the sentiment using 3D foam pads to finish.

Top Tip

It’s easy to colour texture paste by mixing the Distress Oxide Ink a little at a time to the paste until you have the desired shade you want
