Stretch your stash with this creative make using square dies15th August 2018
Issue 181 goes on sale next week (23rd August) and so we’ve got time to bring you one more bonus idea from issue 180. This We challenged Claire Gladman to take her cardmaking to the next level and get five different card ideas from one die set – the Wonky Stitches Collection Squares dies from Creative Dies Plus available on CraftStash. She did one better, couldn’t stop crafting and was inspired enough to bring you the sixth exclusive card idea – that’s six cards using a staple nesting die! Amazing!
You will need
white 5×7” card blank
Raspberry, Caramel & Holly Murano paper
Forever Friends Opulent Domes
American Crafts Confetti Wishes Thickers stickers
3D foam pads
manual die-cutting machine
1 Die-cut Holly and Caramel-coloured squares using the smallest nesting die and using a craft knife, cut each one in half.
2 Leaving a narrow border, affix the triangles on to a 17.3×12.3cm panel of Raspberry paper, creating a pattern four squares down and three across.
3 Cut a 3x12cm panel Caramel paper and layer onto a wider panel of Raspberry cardstock, securing across the card front using 3D foam pads.
4 Create two frames from Raspberry paper, cut across one and interlink them, hiding the cut underneath the frame. Then secure to the card front using a mixture of 3D foam pads and double-sided tape.
5 Embellish with paper flowers, sequins and a ‘BEST BIRTHDAY’ sticker as shown to finish.
