Mixed Media Card Tutorial

20th December 2018

We were thrilled about the Ranger mixed media stamp and stencils included with Simply Cards & Papercraft 186. The gift included, not 1, but 4 stamp & stencil sets from various Ranger brands – scroll down for a closer look at the fab cover gifts and watch this fantastic mixed media card tutorial for a look at the gift in action.

Want to get your hands on this brilliant new issue  just click here to find out where you can Buy Simply Cards & Papercraft 186 (available from December 27th)

Our All-Occassion Mixed Media Card tutorial is a step-by-step process video showing you how to create blended backgrounds with Distress Oxides, and how to stencil with texture paste. (We love Aladine Texture Pastes) We also do a bit of decoupage with the Wendy Vecchi flower stamp, much like we did in our Easy Decoupaging with Stamps tutorial. Throughout the video we share some easy mixed media tips and techniques. It may look a little complicated, but once you see the process, it’s not so intimidating.

Here’s what’s included in this jam-packed issue! A bit of Dylusions, Wendy Vecchi, Dina Wakley, and Letter It! Can you believe this gift?! And there’s even more included in issue 186…just keep reading or take a look at the full overview of this issue here – Simply Cards & Papercraft Issue 186

If you’ve never tried mixed media or you need some ideas for how to use the gift inside Simply Cards & Papercraft 186 (which also includes a Ranger supplement with 20 projects using your gift), then please watch our All-Occassion Mixed Media Card video tutorial at the bottom of this post. And make sure you check out the Ranger supplement which includes step-by-step guides, inspiration, plus 4 exclusive patterned papers!

  • Love the video Janette, will be straight out to buy my copy as soon as it hits the shops. Thank you for the inspiration.xx

  • Thank you so much for the brilliant stamps and stencils in this month’s Simply Cards and Papercraft 186. I am going to enjoy using them

  • This is my favourite stamp (and stencil) set to come with the magazine. I was so excited when my subscription magazine came, and have used it a few times already in my art journals, and ATCoins. I love Ranger’s products, especially the Dina Wakley and Dylusions ranges. Can we have more like this please?
