Mini wine gift box tutorial by Helen Griffin7th January 2019
Valentines Day Gift Idea
Make a mini wine gift box for Valentine’s day or as an Anniversary gift. You could also adapt this design to create a birthday treat for a special friend – there’s always an excuse to give someone a little mini bottle of fizz to cheer them up and make them smile and you will love the finished result of this project – it’s such a cute gift idea. These little boxes would be ideal for selling on a craft stall – however, pls bear in mind you may need to sell them without the mini wine bottle depending on licencing laws.
This mini wine bottle presentation box video tutorial takes you step-by-step through how to make the little gift box for a mini bottle of wine. We’ve also shared some pics below showing 3 of the 5 fabulous Valentines Day Gift Idea tutorials you can find in our latest Issue – find out where to buy Issue 186 if you’re keen to find instructions to make all of these.

Mini Wine Gift Box Tutorial Instructions
1 Trim a 9½x8” piece of acetate and score at 2¼”, 4½”, 6¾” and 9” and fold score lines well with a bone folder. Add double-sided tape to the narrow strip at the end and bring together to form a tube.
2 To make the base: trim pink cardstock to measure 4 5/16” square and score at 1” on all sides.
3 For the lid: trim pink cardstock to 7 5/16” square, fold all score lines, trim into corners and glue together. Add glue to the bottom sides of the acetate tube and place inside the base.
4 Add glue dots to the bottom of the mini bottle of wine and place inside the box, and place on the lid. Matt the lid with panels of paper measuring slightly smaller than the panel, and distress the edges before securing in place.
5 Wrap grey twine around the lid and secure with glue dots. Die-cut a pink heart and glue over the twine.
6 Stamp and die-cut a sentiment banner with teal ink and glue onto the heart. Add a thin strip of patterned paper around the base and finish with a grey twine bow.
