Using your Ultimate Cardmaker’s Scoreboard19th June 2020
We’re thrilled with this issue’s Ultimate Cardmaker’s Scoreboard and with all the inspiration inside the magazine we’re excited to test it our for ourselves.
We’ve even provided a back-to-basics guide inside the magazine featuring a plethora of photo step-by-step guides to get you started – with guides on how to creating envelopes, pinwheels, stepper cards, and much more. You’ll find these on pages 58 and 59 but here’s a little one based on the issue’s bridge-style cover card to get you started:
HOW TO: create a bridge card
1 Place the short edge of trimmed cardstock against the raised edge of the scoring board and score down the second and fifth lines.
2 Turn the cardstock round and repeat to score two more lines at the opposite side.
3 Fold the scored lines mountain-valley-valley-mountain and burnish the folds to make sharp creases.
4 Affix a 15cm-long ‘bridge’ to the two side panels to complete the card. A 5”-square envelope will be needed for this card shape.
As a little extra bonus, we’ve also got a fabulous video from Helen Griffin, the creator of the off-the-page projects inside the magazine – we fell in love with her pinwheel centrepiece on pages 72 and we couldn’t wait to share it here
Don’t forget that Helen frequently shares videos on her YouTube channel too – click here to see what she’s shared!
We hope you enjoy this issue as must as we enjoyed creating it!
